This 5 day (32 hr) course combines mobile surveillance along with dynamic vehicle operations. The objective is to familiarize the student with tactical vehicle operations to include; Operational planning, Vehicle Immobilization Techniques, Felony Traffic Stops, Hostage Rescue, and Vehicle Assaults. This course of instruction also includes appropriate surveillance techniques, planning, and operations. The program provides the student with content and hands-on experience to properly prepare and conduct tactical vehicle operations and surveillance operations that apply to various criminal investigations.  The course provides classroom training that covers specific methods and techniques, common terminology, preparation, reporting, and associated liability.  A brief classroom presentation will be completed, along with liability and safety briefs.  Once completed, the students will be presented with scenarios that require hands-on training evolutions that will take place in both secured and public locations.  Multiple versions of surveillance and intelligence gathering will utilized to provide the student with practical training opportunities in a real-life setting.    

 The objective of this training will be for the student to covertly monitor activity in an effort to gain intelligence and valuable evidence for criminal investigations. 

 This class is designed for any type of investigation to include narcotics enforcement, violent crimes, property crimes, or fugitive apprehension. 

 

*Students must have a vehicle for the mobile surveillance portion of this class or can be partnered up with other students*

Instructors


GUY DANIELS - Sgt. Guy Daniels is a twenty-one year veteran with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, with over seventeen years’ experience as a narcotics detective. Guy started his narcotics career with street-level tactical units where he participated in several hundred undercover operations over a fifteen-year narcotics career. During this time, he participated in several long-term undercover operations and was asked to join the DEA as a task force officer.  Guy has developed and instructed multiple classes related to narcotics and undercover techniques throughout the United States for State and Federal agencies to include; the U.S. Army, Drug Enforcement Administration, Nevada and Florida HITDA, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Narcotics Officers Association and the Annual Covert Operations Training Conference (Las Vegas, NV).  Det. Daniels served with the 82nd Airborne Division and participated in combat operations in Iraq (Operations(s) Desert Shield and Desert Storm).

SEAN FALLON - Detective Fallon has worked for the Cedar Park Police Department since 2018 and has worked in Narcotics since 2016 and is currently assigned to the Organized Crime Unit with the Cedar Park Police Department in Williamson County, Texas. Detective Fallon has been an active TFO (Task Force Officer) with the Austin DEA TDS (Tactical Diversion Squad) in response to the Fentanyl epidemic. He has extensive expertise in not only street narcotics but also pharmaceutical narcotics and overdose investigations. He regularly holds various trainings within the Organized Crime Unit updating them on current narcotic trends and case laws, State and Federal Prosecution procedures, undercover operation techniques, and Narcotic unit based tactical procedures and is an expert witness in Narcotics and regularly testifies in both State and Federal Court. He has received specialized training on the subject of narcotics trafficking and money laundering from the DEA and has been personally involved in investigations concerning the possession, manufacture, distribution, and importation of controlled substances, as well as methods used to finance drug transactions on the State and Federal level.

Registration fee for the four-day training program is $750.00 per person. We accept cash, check or Visa/MasterCard/Amex. Group discounts are available. Tuition cost includes the cost of the instruction, handout materials, copy of The Art of Undercover: Techniques and Survival, and certificate of completion.

Classes will be held Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM and Friday 8:30 - 12:00.
